The Extra Special Sunset

The Sunset View from the Dalai Lama Temple, Dharamsala

Generally I’m a sunset girl, in fact I love everything that makes the sky beautiful from sunrises to clear blue skies to cirrocumulus clouds. ️But this sunset is particularly special, happened the evening before visiting H.H the Dalai Lama. A very very special moment for me, a dream come true indeed. 
I have considered H.H my root guru ever since I have known anything about a Lama, the Guru I worshiped/prayed to, in-fact I saw/see a living god in him. I am a huge fan of his talks, books, life philosophies, his non violence journey and more. It has always been my dream/wish to visit him and see him in person one day. 

It would be unfair to bluntly state that Dharamsala is the most beautiful city I ever visited because there were some equally beautiful cities. But to say the city is a very different one from the rest would do justice. I felt a different level of calmness and peace. The city simply is all about love, compassion, kindness, authenticity and simplicity.

Speaking of simplicity, the Dalai Lama temple is the simplest temple I ever visited my entire life. What I imagined was a big beautiful temple with plenty of huge gold statues but in contrary, nothing of my imagination actually matched. 

So simple, yet so divine, one of the most sacred places I ever visited🙏

In Buddhism, kora (which means circumambulation) is the act of walking around the sacred site in a clockwise direction. Buddhist pilgrims do kora of the religious temples, sites, objects, etc to gain spiritual merits; cleanse sins of past and present lives and purify negative karma; and to attain spiritual and mental enlightenment. Trip to Iseltwald, Lake Brienz & Lake Thun, Interlaken and Sigriswil 🇨🇭

Let me start by stating, Switzerland in Autumn/Fall is a Paradise, perfect weather, colorful leaves/forest, a touch of snow on the mountains, autumn flowers (especially the wild ones), blue sky turning into pink after sun set – truly truly a Nature Heaven. Fall, especially the second half of September till the first half of November is the best time to visit Switzerland, I strongly recommend. We started our journey early in the morning from Geneva in a car, so that we have enough time for sightseeing, we planned to visit many places. Our host was a lovely Bhutanese family in Bern, where we stopped for a cup of tea on the way and unloaded our stuffs. From Bern, we were joined by the host family. Worrying: Does it attain anything??? How I got rid of Worries!!! PART 2

In part 1 of my article, I have written about how worried I used to be about every little thing in life and how I suddenly realized I was just wasting my time and energy for absolutely nothing. It  wasn't  something I achieved overnight or in a month or a year. It was something I worked for everyday.
